STRUCTURAL WATERPROOFING

Ram Services Limited carries out structural waterproofing in a plethora of environments ranging from small, localised sub structure waterproofing applications, to large expansive structures where integrity against water ingress is critical, such as reservoir roofs, basements or chemical storage bunds.
Fully bonded or loose laid membranes are typically associated with structural waterproofing. Ram Services Limited is a specialist in the use of liquid applied membranes and fully bonded sheet laid membranes and the installation of internal DWI Regulation 31 internal lining systems, where applicable. We regularly assist and advise our clients on the correct remedial techniques and associated application processes. We align and assist manufactures with the selection of the correct remedial process, understanding the differing technologies and associated site level preparation to receive such membranes.

Ram Services Limited is an approved applicator of liquid applied trafficable systems, associated with balconies, car park decks and roofs with non-slip finished surfaces in compliance with current regulations.

As Ram Services Limited benefits from extensive material technology backing, the associated detail work and complex material compatibility works, ultimately ensures ingress prevention is achieved.

Waterproofing systems include:

  • Fully bonded spray or otherwise liquid applied liquid waterproofing membranes
  • Loose laid and bonded sheet membranes
  • Overbanding of expansion joints/construction joint, cracks within a structure
  • Cementitious slurry or render applications
  • Epoxy resin-based coatings where chemical resistance is paramount to protect the parent concrete
  • Polyurethane based systems where movement accommodation is critical
  • UV, abrasion or slip resistant finishes
We also use membranes for tank linings primarily in the water and wastewater sectors to protect the concrete surface and extend the design life of such assets. We are at the forefront of the UK’s potable water industry, pushing the boundaries of coating technologies, remediating associated assets. All materials conform to the Drinking Water Inspectorates, Regulation 31 Approval – direct contact with potable/ wholesome water. The associated curing and third-party assurance testing of the materials, provides our clients with the knowledge that the applied systems conform to all necessary standards.

At Ram Services Limited we have developed specific application control procedures based on our 40 years' experience in the industry by formulating inspection and test plans for all structural waterproofing applications. During the applications we monitor air and substrate temperatures, air humidity, dewpoint, material batch numbers and mixing procedures. Correct curing in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions is also a critical consideration of all protective, structural waterproofing works.
As I am never tired of saying I am proud to work with such a committed, professional and resilient team that always wants to do the right thing for our customers and the environment. Once again, I send you my personal thanks for all your work.
